How to get the best result
SayInvoice works best when you say four things clearly: the client name and address, the job, the
amount, and whether VAT applies.
Speaking tip
Use one simple format
Example: “Sample Customer, 14 Example Street, boiler repair, £150 labour, no VAT.”
- Say the client name and address first.
- Say the work done in plain language.
- Say the amount clearly.
- Say “plus VAT”, “20% VAT”, or “no VAT”.
Saved clients
Repeat jobs get faster
Once a client has a saved invoice, you can often just say their name again and SayInvoice can reuse
their saved address and email.
- Save a draft, sent invoice, or paid invoice once.
- Next time, say the client name again.
- The app can reuse the saved address and email when it recognises the name.
Before sending
Always do a quick check
The app is designed to save time, but you should still review the invoice before you share it.
- Check client spelling and address.
- Check line items and labour quantities.
- Check VAT and totals.

Trial and upgrade
The app lets you try a small number of invoices first. When the free trial ends, you can upgrade to keep
using unlimited voice invoicing at £4.99/month on the current founders rate.
